Our Story

It began with a young boy drawn to and influenced by dirt, construction, trucks, and equipment…and a mother who rented a small skid steer when he was a youngster. "Get up there and move that dirt around, Matthew” she directed him. It continued with family and friends who supported his entrepreneurial spirit, fostered his honest and humble attitude, and believed in the natural abilities he exuded in construction and mechanics. It didn’t take much coaxing from anyone. It didn’t take much hemming and hawing from him. At nineteen, he knew what he wanted to do and there wasn’t time to waste. He is Matthew Scott; Owner, Founder, and President of Scott Concrete since 1987.

Working alongside his youngest son, Sean Scott, they make a formidable team. With the same tenacious dream and desire to provide others with functional yet captivating concrete flatwork, they work with quiet diligence, professionalism, and expertise. They work to give you, the client, a product in which you can be proud.

We are a licensed concrete contractor with the City of Cincinnati and the DOTE division. We are also members of the Ohio Farm Bureau and have been with the Chamber of Commerce, Home Builders Association, and BBB. Bonded? Yes, we are. As well, Matthew sits on the Building and Planning Zone Committee in the village he was born, raised, and continues to call home. He is quite dedicated.

When you browse through the website of the pages and images, you are seeing our concrete work not stock images. Some of these are professionally photographed by Alexandra Morgan, Matthew Scott’s daughter. Some of them are taken by Matthew Scott with his smart phone. When you call Scott Concrete and request a free estimate, you speak, text, and/or email directly with Matthew or Sean Scott, the sales team. Proposals and designs are arranged, discussed, and scheduled by Matthew Scott. Scott Concrete IS family owned and operated.
